Does anyone know the thickness of the shim that comes on the 2019 X31 and Z71 trucks where the prior generation had a an actual lift block in the rear? You can see the shim these trucks use in this video @14:53

For some reason can't edit my previous post. Missed the video.

That truck has the composite leaf in the rear.

My 2019 X31CCSB SLT 6.2 definitely has a shim. Looks to be about 1/4 inch on the fat end a 1/16 on the small end. Maybe the heavier 6.2 requires that tiny rear shim to maintain the correct height? If every other suspension component is the same as the 5.3, and I think it is, it would sit some measure lower.

Interesting, ya my Duramax doesn't. I have the longer "Standard Bed" on my crewcab.

Is that CCSB too, Or is it CCLB?emoji848.png

I think you would have the CCSTDB

emoji23.png never heard that before!

CCLB to me means 8ft bed. CCSB means the shortest bed. I'll probably just type out standard bed.

My 5.3 had the same little "wedge shim".

Has anyone added a lift block without removing this shim?

I pulled mine off.  My thinking is that I see 2" blocks that are shorter on the front side to keep a correct drive shaft angle, and my 1.5" spacers were equal, so I removed that shim and that gave it a kind of front angle that it otherwise would not have.
