Where is computer located inside of truck?

About ready to finish up my keyless entry system on my truck. And the instruction says do not place the keyless system close to the computer in the cab.

 

Where is the main computer located inside the truck in the dash?

 

behind steering wheel, behind radio or behind the glove box area?

Neither, the PCM is in a black plastic housing between the battery and the radiator under the hood.

I think you're looking for the BCM, but sorry, I am not sure where it is. If I remember correctly from reading on this board, I think it's under the steering wheel somewhere.

Yup, its on the driver-side in the engine bay! Not where I had expected it either, but thats where it is!

the bcm (body control module) is right under the center of the dash. not the main computer but probably a good idea to stay clear
