I have a new 2020 3500 Denali Dually. I pull at trailer with 6 tires. The local Discound tires installed the TPMS valve stems. We started to sync the stems and on the 4th tire in the correct sequence,  couldn't go any further as the TPMS hand held tool only does 4 trailer tires. The truck screen did recognize the first 3 TPMS but had a slow recognition of #4. So he gave up. Sent me elsewhere? I have seen some said they were able to set up tires with programmers. But which ones are able to do 6 tires?

Thanks

Chuck

I use the EL-50448 TPMS relearn tool which was around $80 when I purchased it.

Doing a Google search on GM TPMS Relearn Tools it looks like the going price is $10-20 now.

There should be no difference if you’re doing 2 tires or 6 for the TPMS tool. It just sends a radio signal that should activate the TPMS sensor. The 3500 is keeping track of how many sensors and where they are.

I’ve set up three of my trailers. I think it helps if you drive for a few miles before trying to setup the Trailer Profile.

I also have someone sit in the truck, watch the screen and let me know when to go to the next tire.

If you have a Trailer profile that you weren’t able to get the sensors paired to delete it from the truck and create a new profile with a different name. After you get the sensors paired you can rename the profile. I learned this the hard way with my generator trailer and had many failed attempts until I tried with a new name.

You actually do not need a tool at all. Just follow the prompts in the truck and it will learn each sensor just by letting some air out of each tire in the correct order.

kf9r, I just ordered that tool from Amazon, I also ordered a Rhino booster due to my trailer length. I'lll see how it does and report back later.

Manual Method: Without the tool, the air pressure can be increased or decreased in each tire for 10 seconds.

Do not exceed the maximum inflation pressure found on the tire sidewalls.

Make sure to re-adjust tire pressure to the recommended level when the process is complete.

had trouble with my 37' toy hauler with 6 tires.  Ended up being a interference issue with license plate could not get the 3,4,5,or 6th tire to sync.  Tell me did the horn sound when each tire synced?  I had no horn sound but the display would go to a green check.  Also how did the Rhino booster work?
