Charles Dunn Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I have a 2019 Silverado. 3 days ago I parked my truck for 30 minutes. When I came back and tried to start the truck with the push button ignition I got a continuous crank with no start. Repeated a few times with same result. Called dealership and the service department had me do it again while they were on the phone. Ended up having truck towed to dealership. Next morning the service “advisors” got same result Of no start so I picked up a loaner. 3 days later they called and said a technician was not able to duplicate the issue and no codes were thrown even tho my onstar account sent me an email advising me to take my truck in due to engine issues. I believe they patched the problem to get me out the door and off of their warranty claims. Has anyone else heard or had similar issue of long crank and no start.
Shiva Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 That's a first! Have not heard of or experience anything remotely close to this. What did they do to get you up and running?
1997SierraSLT Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Sure is convenient for GM to program the logic into their software to not record certain instances of malfunction. Easy way for GM to alleviate having to perform warranty work.
