2014 silverado 1500 LT. 8" radio, trying to replace and keep the camera

Crutchfield has failed me.  They claim there's no way I can keep my factory camera and tells me I need to get one of their (or someone's) license plate cameras.  I really don't want to do that.

 

According to my glove box sticker, I appear to have an I05 backup camera.  Their wiring harnesses handle an i03.

 

Does anyone have a solution for me?  My touch screen is dead and I really don't want to spend $1000 to fix a 6yr old WAY out of date radio.  Am I really stuck going with an aftermarket camera too?

iO3 didn’t come with a backup camera typically and on the 2014s doesn’t come with the wiring for unless you get i04+. So if it’s saying it can work with a factory camera, it most likely will work with yours.

I have an i05 but it's just not, and they said they don't have a wiring harness that will.  Which makes little sense to me unless the camera itself is not standard tech.
