Idle Air Control Motor

I have a 2003 Silverado with the 5.3L engine. In the Helms Repair Manual for this vehicle it shows the IAC (Idle Air Control motor) as being on the drivers side of the Throttle Body, but for the life of me I can't locate anything that even remotely looks like the unit shown in their picture. Does anyone know if such an animal exists on this engine and if so where it is located. I get the inpression the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is also attached to or located near the IAC, but once again I don't see anything like what is described in the manual. I would appreciate any help you could pass my way to enlighten me. Thanks in advance!

well i never noticed this at work but with the electronic throttle actuator i guess it's doesn't need one. idle is controled with the throttle plate. if it has a iac it would be right at the throttle plate.

Can I ask why you are looking for it? Something not working right -- the warranty should cover it. Sorry if my question is ignorant.

:(

With the TAC (Throttle Actuator Control) there is no need for a IAC valve. The computer can use the throttle plate instead. This begin in 97 for the LS1 and in 2003 for the trucks.
