Oliver15 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Evening all , Just picked up my 2020 2500 Duramax W/T and I’ve gotta get rid of the stock 17’’ wheels . Looking at 18 inch with 285/65-18 . I can’t get a straight answer from anyone if this will cause transmissions or Speedo issues ? Also clearance .
mafd2 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 (edited) You may get better results in the 2500 section. Edited September 2, 2020 by mafd2

Welcome to the site. 285 65 18 = 32.59 for diameter, with a 7.29 sidewall. What size are your current 17's?

Thanks! I was just looking at that actually. I didn’t want my tires sticking outside the body so determine offset will be next . I believe stock is 44mm

Oliver15 Posted September 2, 2020 Author Posted September 2, 2020 Spoke with my dealer this morning and they can reprogram for any size that was an option from factory. So I’ll be goin gin with 20 inch wheels I believe. Thanks for all the help .

It has to be an o.d. tire size that was an option on that vehicle and not just a 20" wheel with a big tire that wouldn't have come on that truck. You're not calibrating the wheel to speedo but overall diamater of the tire to speedo.
