8.1 question...

Can anyone comment on what is possible in modifying the 8.1 ECM? What are the pros and cons?

Can't get very technical but I can tell you that I had Wester's Gararge reprogram my computer and I'm very happy with it.

Torque management is gone, shifts are awsome, and the acceleration is very nice. And beleive it or not, milage is up. The harder you drive it the better it gets.

What was the cost?

Not sure. We bought four or five calibrations for different vehicles and we received a discount. But I think it was around $400.

They have it listed in the web site for $525 at 2004 pricing. It's worth it.
