Rough Country Retractable Running Board Reviews?

Hello,

 

I am looking at retractable electric running boards and noticed Rough Country has a product to compete with Amp,  anyone have any experience with them?  I hear only good things about the Amps but like the Rough Country design as it is very similar to the GM power steps.  Hard to find any reviews beyond the few on their website.

Bump for attention. I’m also looking at power steps and the rough country steps are $400 less than amp and don’t seem to look much different. I haven’t seen any in person though, only amp.

What about the RBP steps?

Rbp are the same price as amp so no real benefit and with the way they wire in with the magnetic sensors I think amp would be easier using the odb2 port. I haven’t seen any in person though, just online speculation.

Spend the extra $400 and get the Amps.  Solid product and solid company.  I've had them on all my vehicles and the couple of time I've needed help, they overnighted me the parts, no questions asked and noatter how old they were.

The amp steps are great but they have a bluish/purplish led light. The led lights should be bright white.
