I know this topic can be very different for many people but just trying to figure out if it's my tires or it's the truck. 2019 HC 6.2, 3" lift running Nitto Terra Grapplers, 285/55/22's E rated tire. When the roads are wet I mostly have to keep it in AWD so I can start off from a stop if I need to give it any real throttle, also on highway on / off ramps I have felt the back end coming around many times and thankfully the nanny's caught it. Bottom line is my truck is quite scary to drive in the rain and if anyone else drove it that didn't know what to expect in the rain I think it would go bad real fast. I've run these tires before but on my Tahoe's, never a pick up, also never ran them with a 6.2. I've run both LT and E rated tires on my Tahoe's and I do not recall this issue. I guess I'm asking if you guys experience it with the pick up's as I haven't owned a full size pick up in many years or is it the wide tires, the E rated tires or what else I do not know, like I said it's down right scary in the rain on turns, and AWD helps a lot on the starts.

Normal IMO.

Put some weight in the bed.

Get a better tire do you do off reading? All terrain tires sacrifice some on road performance for there off road performance. Also I wouldn’t run the LT LRE tires they are stiffer for heavier loads. Get a good P metric tire.  That’s my honest opinion I work in a tire shop. Personally if you did change them I would look at the Nokian they make both AT and Ht tires in that size excellent tires and they use canola oil instead of petroleum to keep the rubber softer and help with traction.

I've always loved the Nitto TG's and have run them without any issue since 2001, I've never heard of Nokian tires but I looked them up and can not find a 285/55R22......

But the issue is, and the reason I run that tire size is it's not an OE size, it's a 34" tire. I can't find anyone who makes that tire in a P or an LT tire, that's why I am running an E, the next size down that's not an E looks lost with the lift kit installed.

Its the really low first gear my 5.3 2020 8 speed is the same problem. Same tires and motor in my old 16 but a 6 speed and the 20 breaks em loose much easier... Wish we had paddle shifters to start in 2nd gear..

      You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.

      2026 6.6 L5P oil cooler leaking oil at 4,000 miles

      New to diesel trucks. I happened to find my oil cooler leaking oil externally with only 4,000 miles on the truck. I didn’t realize this was an issue until I started researching it. Dealer is going to replace it under warranty but I’m wondering if there’s anything GM is working on to fix this issue. I’ve heard the oil filter used is the same as they use on their V6 motors and that’s what is causing the problems. Should I switch to a bigger filter or keep using the OEM recommended?

      Seems to be Missing a lot of Updates

      So, GMCustomerService:  Judging by the Update History pictured above, is this truck missing any updates that it actually needs. If it's just for the infotainment system, the radio is working fine and no trouble with SeriusXM. and Android Auto is working fine wirelessly with my phone. Some months ago, an update notice was sent to my truck. I approved the update and it finished saying that the update was successful, but it seems that whatever that update was, it didn't actually get installed - at least not if I'm to go by the Update History shown above.   So, again, are there any updates that this truck really should have? I've checked with my dealer but they're reluctant or commit to anything and if I want them to check, they require a $200.00 fee just to check it out and then I'd have to pay for the actual update(s).    Ignorance is bliss, and if none of the updates goes to fixing any mechanical discrepancies, I'll just leave things as is.
