1/4 mile - Speed limiter :(

If your truck came with the Duratracs from the factory then top speed is either 98 or 99.  Pretty easy to hit quickly with the 6.2.  If you want a 6.2 GM truck for speed buy it with the highest rated speed tires from the factory and then swap/upgrade tires.

What is WAMS?  Not that I want to go faster than 98/99 in my truck.  Just curious.

Factory 20s will get you a 112 limiter which will allow a stock 6.2 to complete the 1/4 mile

There was a guy with a 5.3 ccsb (a little heavier than yours) at the track that day that ran a 14.8.
