Anyone know if this is rust forming inside my cab?  It is smooth and doesn't have any texture to it at all, not even a little bit.  I would have assumed the primer would be bubbling if it was...but I'm not sure.  Maybe a burnt mark?

Just looks like moisture was in the coating when it started to dry.

Try wiping it away with water on a rag or just lick your thumb.

I tried to wipe it a wet cloth, no go.  I tried a little rubbing alcohol, no go.  I don't care if it is a blemish.  I just don't want it to be a point of rust.  Is it something I need to cover with touchup paint (I know, it's all I got) or touchup clear coat or leave it alone?

Being in the rust belt, rust is always on my mind.

Where in the cab is it? If you have the paint, it probably can not hurt as long as it is not wet.

On the inside the cab upper passenger side corner.  Not exposed to the elements or water as far as I can see.  Have to drop the headliner to see it.  Is touch up clear coat ok?  Does that adhere to the primer?

It should, if you buy one of the factory AC Delco touch up paint kits, you get both the paint and clear in separate compartments in the "pen".

It's a paint blemish inside the cab out of the elements under the headliner...put your truck back together and forget about it.

Thanks!  Yeah, I had the headliner down to "fix" the leak of my rear window.  Was just snooping around looking for signs of water.  Didn't know what that was, so thanks again for the info.
