Foldbak Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 (edited) When I purchased my 2020 2500 Denali the sales guy said "and it has adaptive cruise control" which sealed the deal. It might not seem like a big deal but I bought the truck to tow my 30' travel trailer and using cruise control on long trips is a must. Having adaptive cruise would be amazing! I took the truck back to the dealer and told them its not working. They fiddled around for a few a minuets and said I would have to schedule an appointment to have it looked at. Come to find out the dam thing doesn't have that feature.... I assume GM feels that it's a bad idea to allow people towing to rely on adaptive. The logic doesn't work for me. I have to assume that all of the hardware is in the truck but the feature is looked out in software. So the question is can I have the feature activated? Edited December 8, 2020 by Foldbak
mkeddie161 Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 If u figure it out let us know would think if u have front collision alert it should be somewhat doable but not sure what programming u could use since it's not event a option on the fully loaded trucksSent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
unit Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 It's not likely that the feature can be activated even if it is in the software. GM has gone to great lengths to encrypt the systems so that they cannot be tampered with. Everything I've read to date says the system cannot be penetrated.
