My truck is white. After washing it and detailing it, the very next day I would always find tiny black spots on it that were stubborn to remove. I've been experiencing these "mysterious tiny black spots" for quite some time and I couldn't figure out where they were coming from. Google and you shall find!   https://www.wdbj7.com/content/news/Black-spots-on-your-car-could-be-from-a-nearby-fungus-in-your-mulch-509250841.html

Artillery fungus!  Who would have known?
I used to find these on my white vinyl siding. I got rid of the mulch and starting using pine needles. No more artillery.
