When I am hitching up my bumper pull trailer, I often need to move just an inch or so to latch the ball hitch. My storage spot has an incline and the hill start assist brake sometimes causes me to move too far and whack the hitch.

Short of pulling the ABS fuse no other way.  Hill start assist is dependent on the Stabilitrak system and ABS operating.

At first I thought this feature might be useful. But, I've never felt I needed it with an auto trans (stick shift is something else). I'll admit it kinda freaked me out the first time it kicked in on my driveway.

I know on my Camaro, you just pull up on the e-brake one notch and Hill Assist is disabled. Not sure on these generation HD trucks if that works or if you even have a mechanical (old school) E-brake?
