08 silverado LY 5 motor, just wondering if im thinking correct here. I have read the tech bulletin on the oil consumption issues with models.  Fixing to drop the pan, check the rubber o-ring on pick up tube, replace oil pump, timing chain and sprockets along with a new water pump.  Truck has just started experiencing fluctuating oil pressure, I did replace the oil pressure switch/sending unit and the small screen below it.  My question is, when i drop that pan should i replace the pressure relief valve and if so do I ,...or should i install the rubber deflector that they are recommending to go over the top of the relief valve.  Might as well right,  just looking for two cents here since im already going through all the work.  I have also tried changing the oil, slight flushing with some AT-205. Switched filter from a wix to AC delco, no change.
