Grille fitment issues HD

Isn’t an hd dale earnhardt grille supposed to fit on a 2004 silverado if the hood is also replaced with an hd hood? Im having fitment issues where the hood and new grille I bought dont sit flush, grille sticks out by a lot. I’ve heard it might have something to do with the rad support but seems unlikely. I know my truck isnt an ss intimidator but apparently the grilles are still the same as long as you upgrade grille along with the hood to hd. P.s. my original hood and grille line up perfectly so nothing is bent its going to be more of a compatibility issue.
