Back Up Camera

Is it just me or is the hitch line-up feature on the backup camera totally useless?  The line doesn't line up straight and I can't even make out what I'm looking at half the time so I still end up getting out of my truck multiple times to check myself.

As far as being clear, the view in the dash on my truck is very good.  The line-up view gets me pretty close - not perfect but better than I used to do using a camera without the line.  There is another view available that looks straight down on the ball that I find really good once I'm close with the line view.  I've also put white electric tape on the coupler so that it stands out against the black background - helps a lot.  I've seen where others tape off the coupler and spray it red or yellow for contrast.  I've got a 2019 Ford F-150 that has similar backup features but the resolution on the dash display isn't as good.

Cameras certainly make this task easier!  Take your truck in for warranty repair if still available.  The image should be clear.

I almost like the line being offset so that the thickness of the line doesn’t cover up target. I just know that the line needs to be just offset slightly from the target and I am good.
