AZ Tommy Mac Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 I'm not mechanically inclined, and my A/C is blowing hot. I did try recharging it with new coolant, that much I can handle. No luck. I am reading these rigs (mine is a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT) are notorious for compressor/condenser issues. Should I go get a diagnosis to see which of those two may be the failure point, or should I just replace both? Wanting to control repair cost as much as possible, but if it like buying 4 tires instead of 2, then I am in. Would the dealership provide a true diagnosis, or should I just find an independent mechanic?
silveradosid Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 what did you use to add freon to the system, was it one of those charge cans that have a gauge on it
