I have a 2019 Silverado, V8 with Z71 package.  This isn’t my first truck and I’ve always done a lot of my own maintenance.  I used the dealer for the first few oil changes, but I crawled under it today and it’s clear then never removed the plug from either axle or the transfer case.  Pretty frustrating to pay for services that aren’t done.

Anyway, I want to do it myself.  I know they eliminated the transmission dipstick on this truck...where is the plug to check it?  Is there a drain and fill plug or just a fill?  Same question for the transfer case and diffs?

I assume the standard is fill to bottom of fill hole?

Don’t assume anything. My 02 Avalanche for instance the rear end is below the fill hole. I can’t remember how I stumbled on the information but I was stunned to find out. I’d usually fill to it runs out. I believe it’s a half inch down is the correct fill. I have it written down in my log book. So check things to make sure.
