When I may sharp turn like exit ramps on the highway my truck starts blowing cold air. And when I start going straight again I get the heat back.

Any suggestions ?

The +1999 trucks warn if the surge tank is low, but I've found erratic heater performance long before then. Also had a strange "gurgle" noise from the heater core.

 

Matter of fact, local dealer recommends topping the surge tank right off: the excess will leak out during driving and the level will stabalize about 2 inches below the surge tank neck. My heater now works perfectly and the "gurgle" went away too.

 

Make sure your dog or cat isn't around the vehicle right after you top off the surge tank. The DexCool is as deadly as the Green Stuff if it leaks onto the driveway or garage floor.
