Mounting XM antenna

Has anybody here mounted a XM antenna that requires the metallic surface mount? Where is a good place to put it, and how did you run the cable?

I believe the best place to mount it is running the cable though the third brake light.The cable is easily run by dropping the headliner a little and running the cable down a corner post.

That is how I installed mine. BTW stay away from the glass mount antennas. Tried one on my Sierra and on my wifes Stratus and they just don't work as good.
