Multipro Tailgate Issue

Last weekend I washed my truck and afterwards the upper tailgate was unlatching itself on its own. After Tuesday didn’t have any issues with it doing it again. Washed my truck today and I notice when I open any of the doors the upper portion is unlatching itself again. Anyone else have or had this issue. Truck is a 21 Denali 2500. Thanks.

seems like a water issue on the switch. get that fixed before the winter comes

I've had them open when spraying the switches with a high pressure hose.

 

I've not had them open on their own afterwards. 

 

 

Same with the rear gate on an Acadia

Have the same issue, I unplugged the switch and it stopped doing it.  A lot of people seem to be having this issue, looks like a batch of bad switches.

Took it to the dealer and they ordered me a new switch and of course while it was there it decided it wouldn’t open up on its own. However before leaving we couldn’t get the top to open at all and still not working. Bad switch. Now just waiting on the parts to arrive.

I've recently started having the same issue. Mine started with the infotainment system update. The next day the inner tailgate started opening anytime I open a door. I've been talking with dealer and no fix yet on my end. Truck is a 21 Denali 3500.

The bottom switch quit working about a week after. . They replaced upper tailgate switch and bottom switch getting replaced this week. So in case you run into the same issues there is 2 switches and not one like I had thought.
