Never had an issue before and now getting the power steering please drive careful signal on the dash… Nothing on the ps system was touched…..Battery was disconnected for a few days and my mechanics diagnostic machine will not communicate with the power steering control module so it’s very weird… I need help

New to this So not sure where to post my issue… LOL

Welcome to the site.

Who replaced the lifters?

My mechanic….no prior ps problems….truck runs awesome…just no power steering….getting the “power steering drive carefully” memo on info center on dash…has him baffled. His software can read everything in the truck except the power steering control module

Yeah he’s going to double check everything this morning with a fresh head… I guess it is confusing him because he didn’t touch anything that has to do with the power steering but I’m thinking antifreeze may have got down into the connector on motor when he took the heads off…. Anything is possible when you’re tearing half of the motor apart… I’ve had so many problems with this truck and only had it a year and a half… Had to have a brand new transmission at 70,000 miles and now lifters due to AFM garbage… And now power steering issue that wasn’t there when I dropped it off

Just got a call from my mechanic… After going back with a fresh head and a good nights sleep he found a ground wire that didn’t get tightened… Problem solved !!!! Thank you guys for your input means a lot…
