Drove a new Colorado yesterday

Not just moving it around.

This was a fully juiced in LS trim, Z71 Colorado with the I5.

When pushed it gets up and goes somewhat, but I'm honestly a little dissappointed. Here are some of my observations;

- The I5 sounds and feels like the 4 cylinder in my old 1990 Cavalier. It doesn't feel anywhere near as smooth nor as torquey as the I6.

- Interior looks a little cheap and uninspiring. The gauge cluster is nice, but the DIC could've been done a little better. Like I say, the rest of the dash was just bland, looked cheap and plasticy, and the poor excuse for a center console also looked like it came from the same 1990 Cavalier. I do like the rear jump seats though. I don't know how comfortable it would be for a tall person like me, but at least you aren't sitting sideways. :fume:

- I realize these are small trucks, but the fuel filler neck cuts into the bed on the driver's side. As such, the sheetmetal has an angular/wedge for of the wheel well to accomodate.

Otherwise it's a good looking truck! I'm impressed with teh stat sheet on the I5, but I feel it's taking a step backwards powerwise from the venerable 4.3L V6 it replaces, especially on the torque side.
