Staylor77 Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 I have a 2018 Silverado when I’m driving the radio keeps resetting about every minute or so. The first couple times my presets will still be there and then after a while the presets go away and all the boxes are gray and it keeps disconnecting from the Bluetooth while it’s doing this.
sbell76 Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 I have a 2017 Suburban doing the same thing. We called the dealer today to make an appointment and they said we were like the 15th customer to call today with this issue. They didn't know what was causing it yet and our appointment is not for 10 days. Sounds like some kind software update gone wrong that was sent out.
Jason Trachte Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Mine does the same exact thing. Pulling the fuse fixed it for a week or so. Now pulling the fuse does not fix it. Let me know if you find a fix.
J.Brush Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Having same issues, I have the IO6 radio with nav. It's probably the hmi module from what I've been narrowing it down too
Jason Trachte Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 I’ve inspected my HMi plug and have messed with it. Doesn’t seem to make a difference. Can wiggle the plug and never get it to shut the screen off.

This is certainly not what we like to hear. Please know, customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. Our team would be more than happy to take a closer look into the radio concerns with your Silverado. To do so, please send an email to [email protected] with ATTN: Staylor77/GM Trucks in the subject line. Please include your contact information, VIN, a brief description of your concern, and the name of your preferred dealership. We look forward to hearing from you.
