I have the 4 on the floor. The shift linkage coming back from the lever in the cab to the t case is junk.

it uses like a ball and socket. It’s almost apart.

Any aftermarket replacements? I seen nothing. Can get a used linkage off eBay but what’s the point. Should almost weld a steel rod from the linkage to the other side.

Sorry, I can't help you on this but yours is actually the first I've ever heard of a manual 4wd setup. I was under the impression that all the newer Silverados had the electronic selector knob on top left of dash. My 2016 has the knob.

Yes sir. Believe Custom and WT models still used them in the K2's.

Look around 1:20 in the video, you will see it.

Not a believer in the electrical stuff.

Just get a new rod.  Its all of $40.  P/N 22847405 for the 5.3, the V6 uses 22753342.

I typed in my vin on GM parts. It says my truck has the E85 does that mean I can run it? I’m pretty sure on the cover is says unleaded but maybe I’m wrong. It’s got the eco thing where it drops down to 4 cyls on the Highway. New to the truck world.

Lmfao no. I wounder why it said that when I typed in my vin. Was prolly an error for more profit margin.

reguardless I seen teraflex makes some stuff for the Jeep. And I seen some other kinds of bushings and some other things. I’m going to see if I can rig something up that doesn’t rely on plastic to support it. Who ever designed that should be shot.

I’ll have to take some measurements and see if I can come up with anything. May have to patented it. Sounds like I already have a few customers.

also I seen they make a 6L80 to np231 adapter. Would this even be beneficial? I feel like a little piece of steel is most definitely the better play.

Can never trust the online GM parts sites as the interfaces they use are crap.

Just get a new rod.  Don't over complicate it.

I could but I like doing it once. My truck has 55k on it. The linkage shouldn’t be warn.

From hole to hole it’s 9 6/8 or 25mm. I’m curious if you can take the stud out of the levers bracket? That would make this a breeze. I have have to order a bracket and see if I can knock it out. Getting to cold to tinker outside. In the mean time I should just order the factory part. It’ll work for another 40k lol.
