Adding hard button for camera on 2021

Thank you for figuring this out and sharing it! We just bought a 2021 Yukon Denali (Ultimate). The one flaw with the vehicle is the lack of a physical camera button. Can't wait to get these new buttons installed!

I would pull that switch out and see if you can cross ref your part number in the list that's posted above. From there I would see what other part is the same but also includes the UV2 code in the Usage Column, along with the other codes that align to your original part. Keep us updated

@peterlawl84 Does your contact have an updated list of RPO codes?

 

That Detect Off button appears to interact with the pillar airbags so I would want to ensure the the RPO code is clear before ordering.

 What year is your vehicle? I haven’t seen the detect off button before. Does your vehicle have 360 camera already? If not, this will not work. If you have a 22 or newer vehicle then this won’t apply, this is just for the 2021 model year that lack the hard button. 2022 and newer came w hard buttons if it had 360 camera option.  I traded the 21 xl and now have a 22 ESV so I haven’t kept up w part numbers

Its 2021 Z71 and yes I have 360 camera. 
I have already ordered the part and as soon as it arrives I will update you.

Gotcha, good luck w the swap out. I just went to service desk at gmc dealer and asked the guy for a print out of part numbers since he didn’t want to spend time looking up codes. He printed it out, went over them for 10 minutes and then told him what part number I wanted ordered.

Just did this on my 2021 GMC Yukon SLT with the 360 camera package. Super easy install. I filmed a quick video, I'll get it edited and post it here when I'm done.
