Time frame for GM's Trucks

I'm thinking mervz might be able to chime in here....

Anyone know:

When the Gen IV will be in trucks, as in the season and year(ex: fall 2004)

It's estimated power outputs(numbers, not words)

When GM plans on the Next Generation of Full-Size to roll out.

Everyone feel free to add to the list. With al the new models NOW(C6, GTO), I feel a loss for info about the Full-Size Trucks

I believe I heard somewhere that GM plans for a redesign of the fullsizes in 05? At least the silverado I think.

I'm gettin a hankerin for a SWB with a 350 HP Gen IV.

What would be great would be if the next truck has the TOp engine choice available for the Z71 SWB reg cab. right now the biggest engine for the RC-SWB Z71 is the 4.8, I think.

You can get a 5.3L in a reg cab short bed Z71, at least in '03 I know cuz a relative just bought one!

Next major redesign is MY2006. Should be out by the end of 2005. GenIV engines are due out end of 2004.

the C6 has the GenIV smallblock. The truck engine's will be based of the LS2, most likely, GM is leaking that it's going to blow the doors off the Hemi.

This is going to be a hard choice, the next Chevy trucks/GenIV's and BMW 1 Series Coupe will be coming out around the same time.......and the 1 series price range(20K to 25K avg.) is the same as the Chevy trucks..........har choice coming up for me.......

Both engines will be class leading........

Both vehicles will be class leading........

One will be awesome on road, the other off road.........

My brain will explode in 2005.
