I am new to this forum and my (new to me) 15 Yukon XL.

My new Yukon is my daily driver and my "fun" project car is my 87 R20 Suburban that I LS Swapped 6 years ago by myself.

I am the Service Manager for a Maserati and Alfa Romeo dealership so I have access to lifts when I need one.

When ever I buy a used car I like to replace all the fluids/filters/spark plugs because I assume the previous owner did not keep up with service or used cheap parts.

My questions are this: When replacing the Transmission fluid (with filter) ,  and transfer case fluid, how much transmission fluid should each take?

Also the owner's manual calls for 80w90 gear oil for the front diff and 75w90 for the rear. how much for each of these?

Is there a particular gear oil or additive I should use in the diffs?

Go to Amsoils web site. 75w90 ok for both.

Yes, the look up guide can help you with the fluid amounts. In general 5qts covers both differentials.  2qts covers transfer case and usually 5 to 7 qts for  transmission pan drop.

No additive needed for the differentials.   AMSOIL's new Easy Packs makes changes a breeze.

If you are interested in AMSOIL, let me know. I can help.

Welcome to GMT.
