Truck driver replacements

my only question is... where are the replacement job education plans.  i dont see the government offering or discussing the new career paths for the future truckers. meanwhile this tech is rolling full steam ahead.

They also made it a much longer process to get a CDL as of Feb. 7th. You have to take classroom courses before you can even take the written tests now.

we all know where this is headed... been listening to road-dog on xm , but they dont seem to offer any real data.

 

one thing i find interesting about the AI driver tech is when it goes full electric, without battery packs, the power to weight ratio will be astounding from the engineering point of view.  they can do it today with just wires above the roads where the trucks could drag a contact bar across..  just utilize the trailers as the motor drive system while the cab is just doing the steering..
