A question for all with this problem: Did you purchase your truck used? Thats always a gamble. Was the maintenance neglected? Was it frequent pedal to the metal baby?

Oil pump failure isn’t normal. Any decent oil change establishment will upload maintenance records. Only buying a used vehicle without records is a crapshoot. Petal to medal is my middle name. Several of my vehicles live with family members after I grow tired of them. Engine failures of any kind or transmission failure are not normal.
