Hi all,

I am over in Australia with a converted AT4 so there are no dealers or colleagues to seek advice from so apologies in advance if I am missing something obvious..

I have Google extensively bulb upgrade for my high beams as they are pathetic on country roads. The very limited information I can find suggests to me there are very limited options.

They appear not to be HID bulbs? I can see limited options if they were HIDs.

Any advice/options/part numbers for what I suspect are LED bulbs please?

I have also researched a behind grill light bar but this is also troublesome with the active grill shutter.

Thanks in advance.

Dane

They are LED without a replaceable bulb. You are stuck with it.

Add some auxiliary lighting.

I would suspect, that like the Chevrolet, they are LED bulbs.

My goto is Diode Dynamics, but they don't list any upgrade options for headlights or fog lights.  Unlike my Chevrolet, where the fog lights can be replaced.

Sorry that I couldn't help.  Good luck.

Howdy all, I have a 2020 GMC Sierra Elevation and came here looking for an answer to this exact question. I apologize in advance for asking this, but what I see from the thread above is the headlights are an LED unit and are not replaceable with something brighter? I can live with the high beams the way they are but would love to have brighter low beam headlights. And just out of curiosity what happens when a light burns out? There must be a replacement unit? And would there not be someone who makes a brighter unit? Thanks a lot and happy motoring

No, you really can’t simply replace the “bulb” with something brighter. It is not your traditional bulb you are used to and not meant to be replaced. LED last for 10s of thousands of hours and are not likely to burn out in the average life of a truck. If one did burn out, you must replace the entire headlight assembly.

I have no idea what’s out there on the aftermarket. There are likely aftermarket replacement headlight assemblies but anything that isn’t junk is going to be very expensive. To my knowledge no one makes any kind of modification for you to put in the housings already on your truck.
