Would a tap on the high beam fuse be ok to trigger a relay to turn on a led light bar?

If that's how you want it to come on. Make sure you are pulling the 12V+ on the relay from the battery with a fuse.

This is what I did. I also switched it so I can run my high beams without the light bar as well.

Yes, using the high beam fuse to trigger the relay is what I did.

 

Then when the relay is closed (high beams on) the lightbars use power from the battery.
