I sent my truck in to the shop for a cylinder 4 misfire. They say that the right side lifters are bad and that they also dug down to confirm the cam shaft is also scored and would need replaced. This is the second time this has happened, the first at around 65k miles under warranty.

The shop isn't similar with the AFM delete stuff it seems so my options seem to be; replace with OEM CAM and lifters etc, get some sort of used replacement engine or get a reman from the dealer.

Mileage is only 120k or so. What are the best options going forward if I plan to keep the truck?

Tell them to replace it with the delete cam and delete lifters lol it is the same process as OEM.

It does require a tune. So the shop likely will not be able to do that.
