The rich condition is due to the stupid (Literally) algorithm GM used to calculate alcohol content. It is NEVER accurate. You need a good scan tool capable of doing a, "Fuel Composition Reset". I'd wager your alcohol content is probably north of 40% right now. I have to reset mine after EVERY fill up. That'll be going away soon after my engine build. Can't wait.

The electronic warnings can be due to a million different issues, but 9 times out of 10 it's wiring related - blown fuses, bad connections, or chaffed or chewed wiring shorting to ground or power. Best thing to do is see what other codes are present while doing the fuel reset.

If you get a tune, just have them disable the flex fuel feature forever.

Do you recommend a scan tool thatvi can buy to do that to the fuel alcohol reset myself

I only know the stuff that I've shopped for and bought as a tech. They're not cheap - well over 4 figures. One of the ones I have is an Autel Maxisys MS906TS. It's about $1,400 at AESwave.com . Best bang for the buck out there, IMO.

The one without TPMS service capability is a bit cheaper at $999.00 - https://www.aeswave.com/Autel-MaxiSYS-MS906BT-Scan-Tablet-with-1-yr-Updates-and-Warranty-p9633.html

Or you can pay a bit more for 2 year updates and warranty: https://www.aeswave.com/Autel-MaxiSYS-MS906BT-Scan-Tablet-with-2-yr-Updates-and-Warranty-p9893.html

There's probably others out there capable of performing a Fuel Composition Reset for a bit less. I haven't shopped them for a long time, so I'm not up on all the new stuff.

Buy a Tech-2 ($300-$350) so you can work on this truck if you intend to keep it.  Combine that with an electronic subscription to the shop manual at AllDataDIY and you'll have the same tools a dealership has.  This will allow you to properly diagnose problems and decide whether or not you want to do a repair yourself or farm it out.

The CAI could have thrown off your numbers without the tune, it takes time for the computer to adjust, most of them are worthless as the stock airbox flows more than enough air for even a 6.2.

How many miles on the truck?  How many miles on the oxygen sensors?  Sensors over 100K miles, even if working perfectly fine, start to not calculate the alcohol content properly.  Throw in an exhaust leak or two or off-brand sensors and it will never be right.

The OE tool is a good way to go. Didn't know they were out there that cheap. 👍
