Yep, it sounds like they plan to remove it being a line item and just include it onto the MSRP so people stop realizing they are charging them $900-$1700 for an onStar subscription depending on model.  Brilliant by GM, can't get people to pay you $50 a month for onStar, just make it a mandatory option.

I think you will see the Truck market crash soon as well. GM and many others have a delivery problem. GM just put out that it has 250k in overstock lots awaiting delivery to dealerships. Even with chip shortages vehicles are being made, they just cant get them out to dealerships right now.

This is their union problem, they have requirements to build this many units and they are being stuffed into lots not working for lack of part content!

The crash though will come from our country crashing, which it already is imo! By this time next month interest rates on car loans will more than likely be double what they are now, im hearing July 27ish is going to be a major interest rate hike!

It's bad with Corvettes too. Some of the dealerships here are doing a shady thing where they buy the Vette and then sell it used with huge markups over MSRP, I assume to get around GM telling dealerships to sell at MSRP. There's dozens of them with like 200-300 miles selling as used over $100K

I’ve been wondering. Once the chip thing is resolved. Are we going to see two year old new trucks on car lots. Couple that with high gas prices. Could get interesting. Adding to that people unloading used trucks.
