Rear View Mirror Camera

I just installed a canopy on my 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. The downside is that it blocks the camera that looks in the bed and the rear-view camera that feeds the rear-view mirror. I'm considering buying a replacement 3rd brake light with wire harness that has the rear-view camera built in. I see this on ebay for less than $200.  I would like to replace the 3rd brake light on the canopy with this unit. The thing that I'm not sure about is the wire harness. I've been told by an electronics tech that the connector plug is LVDS. He couldn't enlighten me as to whether or not I can extend the harness by stretching the harness supplied with the replacement 3rd brake light assy. 

Since I'm not very savvy when it comes to modern electronics, I thought it might be worthwhile posting here to see if anyone here can help me.
