Thank You! Mine was off in the profile. Split tailgate hitch lockout wasn't disabling either. Dealership didn't know how to fix it. They are no help these days.

For months I have been trying to find the answer to this question and everyone just kept saying oh you just turned the passive unlock setting off even though that was the first thing I checked. Your solution worked right away, thank you for finally posting the actual answer

Made an account here just to say thanks, this worked on my 2022 Yukon XL as well. It was driving me nuts!

2024 Silverado 1500. 5 months old. Same issue. I followed the above guidance and it worked. Why is this suddenly happening without power transient issues, and without software update… is this a software or a firmware issue?

It looks like GM is not willing or able to correct their software-firmware issues…. It’s time to get working on those electronic suppliers and more importantly, provide a better quality control… this should not keep happening year after year on so many vehicles. What else is not functioning as advertised? My system is often very, very slow to load and be functional after starting the vehicle. 😬🤨

Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on your FOB at the same time. This will reset the keyless entry on your door.

Thank you very much for this post!! My truck quit working the other day and I was going to take it to the dealer next week. I did what you posted and it reset the locks in about 30 seconds.

The door button for keyless access can be enabled or disabled using the fob.

Enable/disable is the same pair of fob buttons

Possibly possible for them to get unintentionally pushed pushed when the fob is in  pocket.

It's also seems that some updates set this feature to 'off'.
