Raising idle to run inverter

My van has a inverter that was used to run power tools. It came with a powerful HD alternator. At idle the inverter puts too much draw on the battery just switching it on. I need to increase engine speed for alternator higher output.

The system is not easy to mess with. The least intrusive would likely be a simple (safe)removable mechanical adjustable method to push the pedal down the slight amount needed. I have a 4.8 and may add the second alternator kit and a 3kw inverter. The throttle system is all electronic control now  so not keen on faking it out.
