I'm looking at picking up a 2022 AT4 in the next couple of weeks, I've already got wheels and tires picked out (Vossen HF6-4) and want to put an exhaust on it, I'm torn between the Borla Touring or the AWE 0FG.  I know that that the AWE will be louder, and neither are supposed to drone, but what I don't want is an exhaust that has the constant rumbling sound while cruising.  My son had a truck with just Borla muffler that sounded good and didn't drone, but after 20 minutes it got old real quick.  I want to hear it when I get on it, but not while I'm cruising.  And of course, I'm going with the quad outlets and ditching the HDMI outlets.  Have any of you had either of these exhaust systems?

I have the Borla Touring on my 22 High Country 6.2

At cruising speed it's fairly quiet and when you get on it it sounds pretty good.

I've never heard AWE so I can't comment on that

I think you want the Borla from what your post says.

I put a muffler delete on- $100 and it’s sounds good. Quiet at cruise and a good rumble when you get into it. I’m going to throw the quad tops on next. Give it a shot, you’ll be surprised at how good it sounds.

I'd second the Borla choice and the quad tips. I've had both the Touring and the S-type. I like the S-type because I like having the rumble while driving around which was less noticeable with the Touring.

Just be aware that after changing it all out you'll have that DFM sound coming out of the exhaust when it's not in V8 mode. The factory does a great job of hiding it with all the baffles and flapper, but once you swap that out, it may drive you nuts to the point you have to get something like the Pulsar LT.

For me, driving through the neighborhood and the truck sounding like a 4 cylinder got old super quick and was almost embarrassing. It sounded like it was not functioning correctly. Ordered the Pulsar two weeks after the exhaust was done and haven't looked back.

I have a GMC AT4X and am deciding between Borla Touring or S-Type exhaust. I’m worried the touring exhaust will be too quiet, but I am also unsure if the S-type will be too loud for everyday driving. I’m young, so the sound doesn’t bother me that much, but I still do not want much drone while highway driving. I mainly want to be able to have a normal conversation while driving. I also don't want to annoy my neighbors too much when I drive slowly through my neighborhood.

I have the Borla S-Type and love it!  I get many compliments and have people ask me about it all the time.  No drone on the highway and isn't really noticeable unless you are "on-it" or listening for it.  No regrets.
