Rear main seal or oil pan?

I currently have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L I’ve been going back and forth with the dealership since January because it seems like it was leaking oil, they were able to fix it at first saying it was the oil pan but Literally after the oil pan gasket was replaced it started leaking oil again, I took it 4 times back and they kept saying it was just residue and residue and never found an issue until the 5th time now they’re saying it is my rear main seal, has anyone else had this issue? They told me it is 1450.00 to replace the seal but to be honest knowing the dealership and the history I’ve had with them I don’t believe it, any recommendations?

i would check to make sure the pvc system is working properly

Instead of guessing, clean the engine entirely, then add uv dye to the oil so you can determine where the "leak" actually is.

Take it somewhere else for a second opinion if you do not trust them.

 

Since you did not list if you are still under warranty, you can anywhere you choose.
