Got a 1500 with 40k miles on it.  Not sure if its going hand in hand but as it gets colder the knocking/popping seems to get significantly worse.  Sounds like its coming from the control arms especially at low speeds / turning into parking spots.  I even brought it to the dealer and told them do whatever they need to fix it (figured at least tie rods + ball joints) and they said they can't find anything wrong! Im pretty worried because Ive had cars have ball joints go and its super dangerous.  Any one else had this issue? I don't see any ice chunks or any thing visible out of place

I've seen strut mounts that make the clunking noise but it's always hard to diagnose those sometimes.

Doubtful that it's a tie rod end or ball joint with the mileage.

Based on earlier posts, it appears that you are running a 6" lift on yours? If so, that would be good info to also post to help sort out your issue...
