Heated seats retrofit completed

Just like the title says. I finally got my heated seats today! I read somewhere online that if you go to GM’s website and put your VIN in under the recall section it’ll tell you if your truck qualifies yet or not. It also says even if you haven’t received your letter in the mail yet, you can still bring your truck in if it qualifies. Called the dealer. Service guy asked if I had received my letter. When I said no, he told me I had to continue waiting. I explained the above scenario and that website said I qualified as of Sept 16th. There was a long pause on other end. Then he said he had to order my parts. Two weeks later I was about to follow up when they called to set up my appt. Moral of story: all of you waiting on seats, go to GM website to see if you can go in!

Good advice.  I did not receive my letter yet, called my dealer yesterday, told him what you said, and now have an appointment on 1/26.  They are going to order the chip.  Thanks.

Awesome! I’m glad I could help someone out. I also asked about my heated steering wheel retrofit when I was there, the service manager said end of 2nd quarter. Well see if that happens.

I will ask about that too.  They are also looking into my dreaded diesel exhaust smell in the cab on start up.

thanks for the information. I printed out my entire recall page and took it up to the dealer, they ordered my parts and will call to schedule when they arrive.

 

On a weird note, as soon as I got back from the dealer I checked my mail and the letter from GM was there telling me my parts were ready. WTF.

I had a recal notice pop up on my screen of my 2022 ltd and called and they ordered the parts.  45 min repair and now I have heated and cooled seats.  Still have to wait on steering wheel and the front collision.

I think my previous silverado would turn on the heated seat when remote started but cant find any setting for this.

Heated seats done yesterday.  Super stoked. as soon as they were done, headed to my place in northern VT, and it was a nice addition as it was 19F degrees here.

Just received mine today. What a difference. Asked about the heated steering wheel and the service writes said they haven’t heard anything about yet.

My dad has received his "recall" for the heated steering wheel but the dealer said all of those modules are on backorder already

I just got mine done yesterday. Sad to hear parts are on backorder already
