Trouble turning engine over

Hi all. For the past several weeks I have been having trouble getting my 2018 Chevy Silverado to start. I just had the battery replaced and it’s still doing it. When the engine is cold I get in a turn the key - all lights are on but it doesn’t try at all to start. About 20+ tries later it starts without a problem.  When the engine is warm if I shut it off and start it again it starts first try every time. I know nothing about trucks but I’m thinking ignition / electric start or fuel injector?

Does the engine crank?  Or it doesn't crank at all and then it decides to do it 20 minutes later?

 

High resistance in the battery cables so faulty cables (quite common on these trucks) or bad starter motor (also quite common).  

 

If it was injectors you'd have an injector performance code but the truck would crank totally fine.

I had the same issue. I found the battery cables weren't tight enough at the battery after I had a shop replace the battery. Also the battery ground cable acted up later and I had to replace the whole cable.

Check your ground cable to your battery where it connects to the frame.
