Fuel pump questions

Recommended Posts

Ok, so the suspect vehicle is a 2013 Silverado 4x4 with the 5.3l lc9. I am doing a dod/vvt delete on it and turboing it. The cam I am using is a Howards 190245-12 cam (.561/.578 duration @ .050. 222/225) i am installing the 660 lift dual valve springs from BTR, arp head studs, aftermarket steam lines and 80lb SD injectors. My question is how do you determine the proper size fuel pump? Everything I've read suggest a 485lph pump. Any help would be appreciated.  TIA

Pump size all depends on power goals.

The stock flex fuel pump on gasoline can do around 500hp give or take. Going to a 340LPH or 450LPH would be the next step up.
