Here's  the story. I busted a LED tail light on my 2020, 1500. I picked up a pair of Halogen. I want to switch over. However, I get the hyper-blink. I know it is a problem when going from halogen to LED. I am having the same problem trying to switch to  halogen. Any ideas? Connectors are identical.

I'm assuming you went to halogen due to cost of replacing an LED tail light. Have you considered installing an LED bulb into the halogen tail light.  Lasfit makes a fairly inexpensive LED bulb with a resistor in it that prevents hyperflash.

Yes on the cost of replacing. Came across these for a deal. If I can't get them working I should be able to recoup.  I'll check out the bulbs.  thanks

I've seen halogen to LED resistor harnesses on ebay for pretty cheap. Those should fix your issue. Usually a hyperflash is caused by not seeing ENOUGH resistance. I'm guessing it sees too much resistance and thinks it's shorted out and is alerting via the hyperflash.

BCM has unique programming for LED tail lamp bulb outage on trucks with LED tails.  Truck is setting B3950 and B3951 most likely for high resistance at each lamp.  Its seeing too much resistance.

You can try one thing and that would be LED bulbs in place of the halogen bulbs and see if that works as the resistance will drop, otherwise you'd be far better off selling the halogen pair and biting the bullet on the correct LED replacement lamp.
