I have a '21 Sierra AT4 w/6.2L.  I'm looking to get a GMC exhaust upgrade to the "performance" option.  Loud enough for me.  Seems I should be able to get a discount or coupon code.  What is reasonable to expect for % and how often are they available?

Alternatively, for same package could I do better buying elsewhere?

Some will disagree with me and that's OK. The Borla exhaust system offered by GM is an excellent and expensive mod. I have taken my trucks to my nearby performance muffler shop to replace the stock muffler. Tell them you want a nice rumble from the exhaust and cut out the "flapper valve". $156.45 installed. Sounds great, no droning. How's that for a discount?

I have the GM Performance exhaust on my truck.  I love it!  Iirc, the GM Performance exhaust is the same as Borla's Sport exhaust.  I might have that confused with a touring one, though.  If check to see if somebody offers it for less.  GM Accessories changes their "sales" almost monthly at the beginning of every month.  You can see what the current sale is by going to accessories.gmc.com (accessories.chevrolet.com for the Chevy owners).  They will do 5%-10% of a select category, such as exhaust, or do an elevated discount as your purchase price increases, etc.  I think the best I've ever seen was 20%, but you had to spend a lot, too.

Now that you mention it, that does seem to be the trend I recall.  Thanks for posting.

Fair point.  I'm not smart on this topic.  I agree the GMC prices seem exorbitant.  I wanted this option on my truck, but ended up taking one that was coming in vs. ordering.  At the time, I think the option was $1,699.  Probably still too much, but well below what they want for it as an accessory.  This happens to be the right amount of sound for me.  I'm not looking for bro-dozer level.
