Hello all,

I upgraded the visors in my 2000 Silverado to the deluxe version from a Suburban (dual flaps, slide out extenders, & lighted mirrors. I'm very happy with the upgrade. I had to move the hooks out a few inches for the new visors. There is already a rectangular hole in the correct position under the headliner but the clip (spring nut?) has to be removed from the original hole & placed in the new location. I broke the 1st one but managed to get the other one out intact which was no easy task. I improvised the broken clip but it is loose. I'd like to find this part if possible. Can anyone tell me what it is called (and/or part number)& where I can get it?

Try a Bone Yard, prolly get it for free. Dorman.com  is a place you can look or give them a call. It's prolly called a "retainer"; there HAS to be some sort of P\N for it, you just can't call 4900 different things the same name right? I mean there are lots of things on a vehicle called "Retainer"....

If Auveco doesn't have it you will probably have to try the boneyard. They supply the body shops and probably the manufacturers with all of those parts

Thanks for the replies everyone. I couldn't find this part from any supplier online. I remembered one of my car buddies is a service writer at a Chevy dealer. He found the part & I should have it next week. Man, it's good to have people on the inside!
