Jworks Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 2011 GMC Sierra, 4 dr, 5.3, 4x4 The driver side top bulb quit working. Is replacing this something I can do myself pretty easily?
Bleepster Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 (edited) yes - fairly easy. there are plenty of youtube videos. Edited June 13, 2023 by Bleepster 2
dsr611 Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Depends on what you consider "pretty easily". I've changed several on my '10 and '11. You can pull the battery out and get to the bulbs without pulling the bumper and grill. You'll also have the windshield washer fluid tank neck in the way. 1

Bleepster, as it turned out when I pulled the bulb out it came on. Apparently it just wasn't making good contact. No idea. But its working now. Thanks

I did pull the washer fluid tank and got to it. Wasn't too bad but the old light came on so I guess it was just not making contact. Is replacing this something I can do myself pretty easily? Either side is fairly easy on the dims (top bulbs), with the driver's side being easier than the passenger side. I had to remove the air filter box to access the passenger side headlight bulbs. 1
